TRADING SUMMARY FOR THE WEEK ENDED 13th June, 2008

   

Trades Over The Week

 

Enhancement in trading activities continued this week with 137,815 shares trading in 10 transactions. Total consideration reached $233,888 compared to $105,391 the previous week. A total of three securities traded during the week compared to four the prior week.

 

The overall market capitalisation shed 0.20% this week to close at $894,821,463 mainly due to decline in share price of Flour Mills of Fiji Limited (FMF).

 

 

Price Gainers

 

Adding to the radiance of trading activities this week, RB Patel Group Limited (RBG) witnessed trading of 4,500 shares in two transactions. RBG share price rose four cents to close the week at $1.60 with an increase of 2.56%. The stock has best bid placed at $1.60 and best offer at $2.00.

 

 

Price Falls

 

Flour Mills of Fiji Limited (FMF) observed a large parcel of 39,950 shares trading at $0.73 being valued at $29,164. FMF registered a price fall of two cents closing the week at $0.73. The stock has best bid placed at $0.40 and best offer at $0.74.

 

 

No Movements

 

Fijian Holdings Limited (FHL) also witnessed a large exchange of 93,365 shares in seven transactions with the share price remaining unchanged at $2.16.The stock has best bid at $2.16 and best offer at $2.20.

 

Both the total shares on bid and the total shares on offer dipped this week by 3.48% and 9.01% respectively. There is currently one bid-only stock and one offer-only stock on the trading board. The bid to offer ratio remains at 1:1. Foster’s Group Pacific Limited (FGP) still ranks as the widest bid-offer margin stock while the market heavyweight, Amalgamated Telecom Holdings Limited (ATH) spots as the narrowest bid-offer margin stock.

 

There were a total of three market announcements made during the week. Fiji Television Limited (FTV) made a market announcement regarding FTV signing on Poly-Link Ltd for SKY Pacific in Samoa. Pacific Green Industries (Fiji) Limited (PGI) released the Chairman’s address for the Annual General Meeting held on 6th June 2008. VB Holdings Limited (VBL) announced their contribution to the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program by providing Educational Scholarship.
