Trades Over The Week
Enhancement in trading activities was witnessed this week with 99,722 shares trading in ten transactions. Total consideration reached $105,391 compared to $8,550 the previous week. A total of four securities traded during the week compared to two the prior week.
Rise in share price of market heavyweight, Amalgamated Telecom Holdings Limited (ATH) by 7.14% led to the appreciation of the overall market capitalisation. Upward movement in share price of Flour Mills of Fiji Limited (FMF)) and Fiji Sugar Corporation (FSC) further contributed to the rise in market capitalisation. The appreciation in share price of these three securities has heightened the overall market capitalisation by 1.83% to end the week at $896,621,463 as compared to $880,549,306 the previous week.
Price Gainers
Amongst the three price gainers, Flour Mills of Fiji Limited (FMF) stood high witnessing an appreciation of 7.14% in its share price closing the week at $0.75. The stock saw 3,450 shares trading in two transactions being valued at $2,583. Fiji Sugar Corporation (FSC) witnessed 480 shares exchanging hands in a single transaction driving the share price to $0.35 with an increase of 2.94%. The stock has best bid at $0.34 and best offer at $0.40. Market heavy weight, Amalgamated Telecom Holdings (ATH) also witnessed an upward movement in its share price closing the week at $1.02, an increase of 2.00%. ATH saw a total of 91,487 shares trading in a three transactions. The stock has best bid at $1.01 and best offer at $1.04.
Price Falls
Fijian Holdings Limited (FHL) traded a total volume of 4,305 shares, shedding three cents to close the week at $2.16. The stock has best bid placed at $2.10 and best offer being placed at $2.15.

Toyota Tsusho (South Sea) Limited (TTS) submitted the company’s Annual Report for the year ended 31st March 2008.
