Background The South Pacific Stock Exchange Annual Report Competition began in 1981. Since then it has evolved to accommodate different nature and types of organizations. The Competition is annually organized by the South Pacific Stock Exchange and entries open in January / February every year.
The main objectives of the competition are:
The standard of reporting in companies and other organizations that have entered the competition through the years has improved tremendously. Most entrants now use more effective presentations using artistic diagrams, photographs and other innovative designs.
The SPSE Annual Report Competition provides the only means by which annual reports of enterprises in Fiji are evaluated outside the audit process.
Judges The penal of judges for the competition are independent from the Exchange. They have professional Accounting background and high reputations in society. They come from various professional financial institutions including Accountants, Capital Market, Academics and other Financial Institutions. There are 6-7 judges for this competition and their decisions are final.

There are 4 Categories A, B, C and D which gives opportunity for companies in different sectors to participate and win.
Category A: Statutory Authorities, Government Bodies & Unlisted Trusts
Category B: Co-operatives, Non-Profit & Charitable Organizations
Category C: Other Companies and Unit Trusts
Category D: Listed Companies
All interested Companies are invited to submit 7 copies of their ANNUAL REPORT for their financial year ending from 1st January to 31st December each year. There are no costs to participate in this competition.
